Raised in Coquitlam, British Columbia, Kimberly Wilson began her love for dance at the age of 3 when she enrolled at Port Moody School of Dance in both tap and ballet as a way to get out all of her extra energy.
This energy quickly progressed into years of jazz, acro, lyrical, hip-hip and musical theatre.
Nearing the end of high school Kimberly knew she wanted to continue on with dance and was accepted into Ryerson University for the Dance program, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Performance Dance.
Following Ryerson, Mrs. Wilson was part of various performances and dance festivals in Toronto including Dance Ontario Festival. Following a reoccurring knee injury, she decided it was best to take a break from dance.
Mrs. Wilson eventually recovered from the injury and welcomed two children into her family during her time off. She has now spent years on the school parent council volunteering with students and it was then that Kimberly decided that teaching dance was something she felt more passionate about now more than ever.
Mrs. Wilson is excited to pass on her positive energy and knowledge of jazz, lyrical, acro, contemporary, tap, hip-hop and Cecchetti ballet syllabus to the next generation of eager students!
